Registration process in Bangladesh
Before the examination, the British Council will have to register in Dhaka, Chittagong or Sylhet branches. Registration can be done from their authorized registration point, Saifur’s, gateways and mentors. It is good to register three to four weeks before the examination. : There must be a passport for the candidate for registration.
At the time of registration, the photocopy of the first 4 pages of passport must be submitted.
3 copies of recent passport size photographs (pictures which are not more than six months old) and photographs with glasses in the registration form are not acceptable.
Submit your registration form to a British Council Office near or to a Standard Chartered Bank branch booth or registration point.
You can submit your examination cost to the branches of Standard Chartered Bank by completing a bank draft or cash deposit or by paying a British Council or Registration Point or British Council Deposit slip.

Test and results
Under the supervision of the British Council, IELTS examinations are held 36 times per year three times per month. Earlier, if there was no hope for any candidate, then the test was to be done at least three months after the first examination.
Now regular and irregular candidates will be able to take part in the successful examination until they get the desired score.
Usually the IELTS results are published 13 days after the examination. The results can be collected from the British Council. Besides, the results of the IELTS examinations can be easily obtained from British Council’s website by entering the number of candidates, passport number, date of birth, examination date entry. If you have any doubt about the test results, you can apply for ‘Enquire on Result’ in six weeks.
You have to pay a specific fee for this. if you get the wrong result then you will definitely get the money back. Within six to eight weeks, the British Council will get your re-labeled results back and British Council will contact you.
